                                                                                                              ( post includes *affiliate links)
I have always had eczema prone skin ever since I was child. Eczema normally appears ( at least in my case) when I am stressed, tired or run down. This shows mainly in my eyebrows, on my forehead and hairline.
For those who are not familiar with eczema as much, it appears as patches of red inflamed skin, itchy, cracked and rough and is normally treated with steroid creams on prescription.

It took me a very long time to find skin care products that I would be happy with, something  that will not irritate my skin and mainly eczema but opposite improve it without using any steroid creams.

I have been using those for couple of years now and have been very happy with how they make my skin feel and look. Those products keep my eczema under control, reduce flaring up and keep my skin nice and moist, yet not greasy.

Caudalie Moisturizing Toner

From the Caudalie collection, this Toner is suitable for all skin types. I apply it on my face twice a day, first thing in the morning after I have washed my face with clean water. This helps to keep my skin soft and clean, remove any dry dead skin that has built up over night and prepare my face to apply make-up for the day.

I also use it in the evening after I have removed my make-up and washed my face. Normally I would not stand anything on my face without rinsing it off but this product is truly amazing, alcohol free and my skin feels so clean and refreshed I leave it to naturally dry before i apply next product.

To apply: I apply it once or twice from the bottle onto a cotton pad and gently wipe my face and neck. This helps to remove any traces of make-up that has been missed and keep skin clean and refreshed.

Bioderma Sensible H20 Make-up Remover Water

This is the best make up remover so far I have tried that suits my face. It doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin, doesn’t sting when applied over my eczema patches and remove make up very easily. I use it remove my eye make-up too and it doesn’t sting my eyes at all. It feels very cleansing.

To apply: soak a cotton pad and gently wipe off the make-up. I use clean cotton pad for each eye. Repeat this until the cotton pad remains clean. This product doesn’t require rinsing off but I do with warm water. This is totally up to you what suits you most.

I have found that lot of other products were causing irritation on my skin, stinging sensation and redness. This is the only makeup remover that doesn’t irritate my face, save when removing my eye makeup and my skin feels clean and soothing.

Caudal Overnight Detox Oil

This product is a miracle in a bottle!! I absolutely love it and relay on it as my SOS eczema treatment. It says on the website that it should repair damage done to the skin after exposure to the elements, and Boy they are right!! I use it twice a week or when I need to. If I feel that my eczema is flaring up, or any red, sore pimples appearing on my face I go ahead and apply it before bed.

Normally I apply this after I removed my make-up at night, washed and toned my face. I Use few drops on my hand and rub it onto may skin, all over with gentle massaging motions. My eczema improves by morning and I am not even joking. It is on a pricey side, but is is worth every penny and it last for a very long time as you only need few drops and use it maybe twice a week.  It truly is a cell renewal product, packed with essential oils, omega 6, vitamin E and other ingredients that help to detox your skin.

Aveeno Moisturising Lotion

This has been my go to face cream for few years now. It just seems to suit me the best, keep my flare ups in control and also it works great as a base for my make-up. It doesn’t make my face feel oily, but opposite, it absorbs well. It works sort of like a barrier. It doesn’t seem to have any fragrance to it, which is nice.

We all know that drinking plenty of water throughout the day also helps to maintain healthy skin. I have to admit I don't always drink as much as I should, especially when Im busy at work for 12.5 hours. However this shows on my skin very quickly. It become dry and dull without any glow or radiance.

Stress is also big factor affecting our skin. Stress isnt only effecting skin but our whole body so its crucial that we try to avoid it or learn to deal with it quickly. Since I have become a mum I stress much more that I would like to. Im learning to reduce my stress levels, my anxiety and just remind myself more to relax, take it easy and everything will be just fine.
Stress is what affects my eczema most which, even good skin care can’t help with. When i feel stressed i have a flare up. Its red and flaky and Boy it itch! I do reach out for my Caudalie Detox Oil which usually helps to calm it down.  Its amazing!

Please just remember, my skin care products suits me but might not suit you, we are all different. Please share with me your favourite skin care products that work for you.
Stay tuned for another blog post. Xx
