 I am half way through my pregnancy, expecting my first baby and I decided to share with you some of my feelings,experiences and tips which helped me and still are helping me throughout my journey.

When We found out I was pregnant we were over the moon.. It was what I wanted for a long time but now that it was here I started to panic a little. The not knowing of what is going to happen was scary as I like to be organised and aware of the things that are going on.

My husband ordered me a book called Day-to-Day Pregnancy Book which I would recommend to everyone who is expecting first baby and has no idea of what is happening to your body throughout the whole pregnancy.
 I read this book every week curious of 'what my baby maybe up to this week?'. Its amazing to know how much is happening in your body every week. How much your baby is developing.

This week is when I felt my baby's moves for the first time and it was the most amazing feeling ever! I cried! Every day since then my baby is letting me know that it is there and awake by little soft flutterings and kicks that I can feel.
I have to say I am pleased that I am not experiencing any heartburn,backache, or anything similar just yet. I feel very healthy and well inside and out. As they say second trimester is the best.

All I can think about that stayed with me from the first trimester is tiredness! I am absolutely exhausted specially after work and asleep on the sofa before 21:00 or earlier nearly every night.

I have to share with you some of my essentials during my pregnancy.
Every day since I was 10 weeks pregnant I started using 'Palmer's' Cocoa Butter Formula' after I took a shower. I spread this on my 'most likely to have stretch marks areas' such as tammy,hips,boobs,bum. This smells lovely but I have to say I got sick of the smell after a while so I decided to swap it with 'Bio-Oil' now and again!

My ‘discreet always dailies’ are necessary sometimes due to Leukorrhea during pregnancy! (Yep, exiting right?)

As many moms to be even I would like to look good and keep my tan at least a little, as it does look nicer especially now I am showing my bump bit more here and there so I decided to use 'Dove summer glow self-tanner' twice a week and I have to say it does miracles to my skin.
Im very looking forward to next week's scan as we are going to find out the gender of our little baby. Soooo exiting!xx

I decided to enjoy this cold November Sunday with baking some simple cupcakes and thought I could share my recipe with you all!

For 28 cupcakes you will need:

* 175g/6oz plain flour
* 1tbs baking powder
* 1tbs custard powder
* 175g/6oz butter,softened, or soft margarine
* 175g/6oz caster sugar
* 3 eggs, lightly beaten
* 1tsp vanilla extract
* raspberry jam
* icing sugar, for dusting

Preheat the oven to 190/gas mark 5. Put 28 paper cases into bun trays.
Sift the flour, baking powder and custard powder into a large bowl. Add the butter, caster sugar, eggs and vanilla extract and, using an electric mixer, beat together until smooth.

Spoon the mixture into the paper cases and place 1/2 teaspoon of the jam onto the centre of each, without pressing down.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until risen, golden and firm to the touch. Transfer to a wire rack and leave to cool. Dust with the icing sugar.

If you decide to give this recipe a try I hope you will enjoy it as much as me and my husband did.
